This book is laugh out loud funny, but with an undercurrent of the difficulty of accepting love after betrayal. Paisley is relatable, she's flawed, but genuine, and I think that's what makes her so likable. The romance in this book is tender and sexy and sweet. Hank is swoon worthy, right from the start. The chemistry between him and Paisley had me rooting for them from the beginning. There were some heavier tones in this book, but I think they balance the more hilarious parts. It isn't just fluff, there is depth, and the fact that Hank is a serviceman makes this book ideal for anyone with a spouse/partner in the military. Or if you just like a guy in a uniform;)Also, I want to go get drinks with Paisley and her friends! I wanted to know more about some of the relationships her friends are in, and maybe there will be another book to satisfy this curiosity?! It is a great debut novel!
